People have always been self-conscious and concerned about their looks. We can’t pretend that it’s a recent phenomenon. But what is recent are the technologies that have come about in the past century that help adjust or change the way you look. Cosmetic surgeries are now their own branch of medicine! Although the first breast augmentation was performed in 1895, the technology really started to skyrocket (in both popularity and technological advances) in the 1950s and 60s. Now, we are seeing these surgeries produce marvelous, ground-breaking, and—dare I say it—beautiful results.
Breast augmentation is a group of plastic surgery procedures that alter the appearance of your chest—especially in women. This includes breast implants, mammoplasty, and reconstructive surgery after cancer or another injury or disease. These surgeries change the shape, size, and texture of the breasts, often lifting them and making them bigger. While this is usually a cosmetic procedure, it can have medical benefits. While many women will experience greater self-confidence and mental health after breast augmentation, others (especially those who received breast reduction surgery) will have better posture and find it easier to run.
If you are also concerned about the size or shape of your breasts—maybe they’re a bit small or droopy—we will help you to get satisfactory results.

What is the Procedure Like?
Although the entire process (including consultations) may require a few different visits, the entire surgical procedure only takes a day. You always have a choice as to what happens with your body, and the prior consultations will ensure that your wishes are being carried out on the surgery day.
During the surgery, the doctor will make large incisions under the patient’s arm, the natural crease under the breast, and around the areola. After the surgery is completed, the cuts will be closed using sterilized stitches. As like any other surgical procedure, you will experience soreness and general pain until the wound is properly healed. Sometimes, drainage pipes will be inserted to allow excess fluid to flow out of the body.
Breast augmentation is a delicate topic, but one that can drastically change your life for the better!
